Model CBS\u2122 0.3 ml<\/h5>\n

This straw is composed of two distinct parts separated by a sliding white cotton safety plug. The first part with a working volume of 0.3 ml holds the sperm sample, while the second permits introduction of a colored identification rod and serves as a handle in liquid nitrogen.<\/p>\n

Model CBS\u2122 0.5 ml<\/h5>\n

Same technical specifications as the 0.3 ml straw, except that the working volume is 0.5 ml, and the outer part of the cotton safety plug is colored.<\/p>\n

Identification<\/strong>
\nThe CBS\u2122 0.3 ml and 0.5 ml straws carry tamper-proof bar-code and\/or alphanumeric identification on an outer jacket that can be removed after thawing, guaranteeing sample traceability.<\/p>\n

Filling and sealing<\/strong>
\nStraws are filled individually by means of a yellow sterile nozzle and a SYMS aspiration pump or a micro-aspirator.<\/p>\n

The impermeability of the seal is only guaranteed if the straws are sealed with the SYMS sealing system. For large series (sperm banks), the CBS\u2122 straws are filled and sealed on an automatic machine (PACE) or on an automatic filling, sealing and printing machine (MAPI).<\/p>\n

Storage in liquid nitrogen<\/strong>
\nCryo Bio System carries a line of accessories for storage and management of CBS\u2122 straws in liquid nitrogen.<\/p>\n

Recommendations for thawing CBS\u2122 straws<\/strong>
\nAfter verifying the location of the desired straw, its identification is confirmed by the color of the internal identification rod (CBS\u2122 0.3 ml), its plug (CBS\u2122 0.5 ml) and\/or its outer jacket.<\/p>\n

The straw is gently removed from the storage visotube, taking care to keep the part containing the sperm in liquid nitrogen. Once it is checked, the straw is reheated by placing it in warm water (maximum 37\u00b0C) for a few seconds. After drying, it is ready to use.<\/p>\n

Shelf-life<\/strong>
\nThree years from date of manufacture.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
